Aspen Springs is an area of homes just West of Pagosa Springs off Hwy 160 on the way to Durango.

Due to its location, there is no central water in Aspen Springs and wells are rare due to high sulfur content in the ground. Most homes have cisterns and water hauled in. Some people have large water tanks in their trucks they fill and take home. Others hire a water hauling service to fill their cisterns.
